In all honesty, the staff, besides one or two are very friendly, fun, and professional. The dentist herself is very friendly and provides great care. My problem came when my son who has cerebral palsy got sick overnight with a severe stomach virus, diarrhea, vomiting, you name it, high fever and all. So unfortunately, I couldn't give 24 hour notice that he would not be in due to me having to take him to his primary care physician. When I called to rescheduled as soon as they opened, I was told that I could not reschedule, he was no longer to be seen due to three previous no call/no shows. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't fight that. However, what am I to do when my special needs child is so unpredictable. If he's sick, he can't come in. And there's no way for me to know when he's going to be sick. The kicker came when I was informed that ALL of my children had been dropped from care. So when one is dropped, all are dropped. So unfair to them. Very displeased that no notice was sent to me, no one tried to work with me and my family.
This place is the best dentistry for my son. My niece also goes here and that's where I heard it from my sister. I highly recommend if you have a child definitely taking them here because they are the absolute best with the children and they give them a token at the end to get a little prize. We just love Carolina Kids Dentistry.
When I called to cancel, they told me it would be a $48 charge because it was not within 10 days of the appointment.
Nice facility, kid friendly. However we had an appointment for 2PM and the doors remained locked until the whole staff came back about 10 minutes after 2PM. Also were told our son was being difficult during an xray--which was never communicated to myself, and they said he needed additional medication to complete work, aka, more money. Will be switching to a new provider.
Instead another employee called on behalf of the manager to tell me they wouldn't charge me and where to send my records!!
I told them I refuse to pay this especially because no one informed me of this beforehand.
I'm glad this place is doing so well to lose clients because of a ridiculous charge.
I made a second appointment for today, June 1st at 2pm. I didn't receive a reminder until this morning of and unfortunately I couldn't make it because I am a teacher and had a parent meeting.
I had an appointment with my son a couple months ago, the dentist was an hour late.
